Entire line in focus
From November 26–28, 2024, KHS will be presenting itself in Hall 8 at BrauBeviale in Nuremberg, Germany, as your partner ‘right down the line’: from pioneering filling equipment through extensive inspection technology and the new Plasmax generation to a broad spectrum of service products.
“At BrauBeviale we’ll be demonstrating how our advanced technologies and wide range of service concepts optimize our customers’ production processes and at the same time help to protect the environment in the long term,” says Tobias Wetzel, CSO at KHS. The Dortmund turnkey supplier will again be one of the biggest exhibitors at the show. “As a reliable partner to our customers we’re actively helping to shape the future of the beverage industry with our convincing combined new and further developments in high-precision filling technology, intelligent packaging systems and smart services.”
Line concept in focus
As just one example of its extensive line expertise, KHS will be showcasing its successful compact Innofill Can C can filler model combined with a seamer by KHS partner Ferrum. With a capacity of up to 60,000 cans per hour, it can be perfectly integrated into medium-capacity beverage lines, especially with process engineering and inspection technology from KHS. The latter includes, among other units, the Innocheck MMS machine management system that localizes faulty filling valves and closure elements. The newly-developed Innocheck FHC monitors fill levels by X-ray. Finally, the Innocheck ECI empty can inspector examines cans for foreign bodies and damage prior to filling. “Our systems and solutions that have proved themselves on the market many times over not only improve the quality of production but also the safety and efficiency thereof,” emphasizes Wetzel.

Sustainability plus product protection
The latest-generation InnoPET Plasmax produces circular containers that can be fully recycled by type. The unique coating process covers the insides of PET bottles with an ultra-thin layer of glass. This KHS technology combines highly effective product protection with longer shelf lives and pure, unadulterated taste. It’s available as a single machine and blocked with a stretch blow molder and/or filler.
In Nuremberg KHS will be showcasing its unique InnoPET Plasmax barrier protection plus up-to-the-minute inspection technology and its virtual line design service, among other products.
Digital planning and extensive consultancy
Progressive technology isn’t all that’s needed to ensure trouble-free, continuous line operation, however. This is why KHS also provides numerous consultancy and other services. These include, for instance, modular service packages that ensure that beverage fillers’ production lines run efficiently and without disruption. Unplanned downtime and unexpected consequential costs are thus avoided. KHS’ virtual line design service uses up-to-the-minute 3D software that gives customers a holistic impression of their later line as early as during the offer phase. New features such as mobile laser scanning and virtual reality presentation now make advance planning even quicker and more detailed.
KHS will also be presenting its variety of digital services in Nuremberg. ConnectApp Guide, for example, addresses the challenges of line maintenance. It permits digital, paperless maintenance management. Servicing tasks are flexibly planned across all sections of a company using a web platform that can be accessed through a mobile app at any time. KHS’ MES systems Innoline Basic Line Monitoring (BLM) and Innoline Flex Control (IFC) are modular software packages specially conceived for the beverage industry. They create transparency and boost efficiency throughout the entire beverage filling process. Both can be perfectly integrated into the plant operator’s infrastructure.
